Americus Refrigeration is the result of a lifetime of work in the marine climate-control industry.

My name is Andres Hernandez, and before launching Americus Refrigeration, I spent more than 12 years owning and operating a marine air conditioning and refrigeration company in South Florida — one of the busiest, most demanding boating environments in the world.

From sportfishers in Miami to luxury yachts in Fort Lauderdale, I’ve spent over a decade working directly inside engine rooms, lazarettes, and mechanical spaces solving the exact problems boat owners face every day: cooling failures, chiller breakdowns, seawater flow issues, failing refrigeration systems, and watermakers that won’t produce.
